Before the launch of Google’s rumored Pixel-branded foldable phone, the Google Pixel Fold release date has been leaked online. The announcement follows the company’s first smartwatch, the Pixel Watch, and the Pixel 7 series earlier this week’s introduction. Fans had hoped to see Google’s foldable smartphone at the Made by Google launch event, however, the company is rumored to have postponed the release of this foldable gadget. The first Pixel foldable phone could debut in Q1 2023, according to Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) CEO Ross Young.
Google may be developing two foldable devices, according to earlier claims. In a line of code from Google’s Android 13 Quarterly Platform Release 1 (QPR1) beta, a developer has discovered a reference to a foldable smartphone with the codename “Felix.”
A triple rear camera array, consisting of an IMX787 primary sensor, an IMX386 ultra-wide angle lens, and an S5K3J1 telephoto lens, is rumored to be present on this foldable phone. An S5k3J1 telephoto selfie camera will likely be integrated into its outer display. A foldable phone from Google with the codename “Pipit” had also been reported earlier this year. The Tensor SoC used in this model, according to the developer, is currently out of date.
According to a recent story, Google’s foldable smartphone may go by the names Pixel Fold or Pixel Notepad. Foxconn is rumored to be manufacturing it in China. This smartphone’s release was apparently postponed in May of this year. A 5.78-inch external display with an incredibly thin glass cover and a 7.57-inch internal display is anticipated to be included.
