Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark is often lauded for her incredible three-point shooting and scoring acumen. Yet, her teammate, center Temi Fagbenle, believes there’s another facet of Clark‘s game that should be celebrated: her outstanding court vision. Speaking on Monday, Fagbenle praised the synergy she has developed with Clark, particularly emphasizing their effective full-court passes. “Her passing is phenomenal, and she never misses an opportunity to find me when I’m open,” Fagbenle said. “It’s remarkable, especially since we’ve had limited practice time together… Only a few point guards I’ve played with have the ability to anticipate plays before they happen. “Most point guards don’t see it… but Caitlin spots it before I’m even open!”
A Strong Start to the Season
In the current season, spanning seven games, Clark has been averaging 15.4 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 6.3 assists per game. She has achieved at least seven assists in four of her last five games, underscoring her playmaking talent. Clark and the Fever (1-6) are gearing up for their next matchup against the L.A. Sparks on Tuesday night, with the game set to start at 7:00 PM ET.
“When faced with adversity, how do we respond? Do we hang our heads? Do we stop giving each other high fives and making eye contact? Do we start playing selfishly?” Fagbenle pondered. “Or do we rise to the challenge and stick to our game plan, maintaining our unity as a team? “We know our strategies, and we need to follow them instead of thinking we know better individually. This understanding comes with time and experience, and the more we grow, the better we’ll be. I’m excited about our potential as a team.”
