This incident is the latest and perhaps the most notable example of the escalating physicality Clark has faced this season. Many players seem to believe that rough play is the only way to counter her skills, or they might simply be envious of her rising fame.
In an earlier incident, Chennedy Carter of the Chicago Sky inexplicably knocked Clark to the ground during an off-ball moment, prompting NBA’s Draymond Green to urge the Fever to employ an enforcer to protect their emerging star.
