According to The Des Moines Register, ESPN revealed the 2024 ESPY nominations on Wednesday, and Caitlin Clark, Indiana Fever guard and former Iowa Hawkeye, stands out with three nominations. This isn’t her first recognition by the ESPYs, as she won the award for best women’s college athlete last year. So, what honors is Caitlin in the running for this time?
The Register states that Caitlin Clark is nominated for these ESPY Awards:
- Best Athlete, Women’s Sports: Celebrating her impressive career with Iowa women’s basketball, this is Clark’s debut nomination in this category.
- Best Record-Breaking Performance: Acknowledging her achievement as the all-time leading scorer in NCAA history, surpassing Pistol Pete’s record.
- Best College Athlete, Women’s Sports: Recognizing her exceptional performance in Iowa women’s basketball.
