In what might just be the most ridiculous (and ridiculously adorable) Halloween stunt of 2024, Barstool Sports’ Dave Portnoy decided to dress up his celebrity pup, Miss Peaches, as none other than WNBA phenom Caitlin Clark. If you thought that was enough to break the internet, wait until you hear about Pete, Miss Peaches’ newly adopted Beagle brother—who, quite literally, rolled in as a basketball.
Yes, you read that right.
Miss Peaches donned a full Caitlin Clark uniform, complete with a black wig that even Clark herself had to acknowledge. The real WNBA star gave her paw-sitive approval in an Instagram comment, laughing at the wig and perhaps questioning if she’s ever pulled off the hairpiece look quite as well as Peaches did.
Meanwhile, Pete the Beagle… well, let’s just say he’s still trying to figure out how he ended up as a basketball. While Peaches strutted her stuff in her MVP outfit, Pete’s interpretation of a basketball was more “air ball” than slam dunk. Imagine trying to wear an inflatable costume while still attempting to be a dog—it’s an awkward mix of confused tail wags and, let’s be honest, embarrassment.
Now, if you know anything about dogs, you know they despise wearing costumes. The duo was adopted earlier this year—Peaches on Valentine’s Day and Pete just last month—so let’s hope their sibling rivalry doesn’t extend to their Halloween attire.
