How to Sell Stuff On Roblox and Make Money.

I have written multiple articles on making money online as passive income, a side hustle, a part-time job, or a full-time job. Some articles are on full time careers as well. 

This is another of my new articles with new ideas and new sources of making money. The source in this article is a popular platform called Roblox. 

If you haven’t heard of Roblox, let me tell you that it’s a popular online gaming platform where you can sell your items and make money from them.

This article is a step-by-step tutorial guide on what you can sell and how you can sell it to earn money online from your home. So lets get started…

What is Roblox?

Roblox is a massively popular online gaming platform that gives a unique gaming experience to millions of players all over the world. It is not just a game but rather an entire gaming ecosystem, it allows users to create and play their own games, as well as buy and sell virtual items. 

One of the most unique features of Roblox is the ability for users to create and sell virtual items, such as clothing, accessories, and game passes. With the use of Roblox Studio, players can unleash their creativity and imagination to design their own virtual items and make them available for purchase on the platform. 

The option to sell items on Roblox adds an exciting dimension to the game, providing a way for users to earn virtual currency (Robux) and showcase their skills as developers and designers.

How to make money selling virtual items on Roblox

To start with, let’s first understand that there are two brackets of selling stuff. One is ‘Customized Items’ and other is ‘Special Unique Items’.

Customized Items: Items created by you, such as hats, pants, T-shirts, etc. These items are customized as desired and are cheap and affordable.

Special Items: Items that are special, unique, and rare to find.These items are expensive because they are scarce and in high demand.

How do I sell Customized items on Roblox?

Customized items that are created by you, such as hats, pants, or t-shirts, could be sold for whatever price you desire.

Having said that, Roblox has a price bracket that does not allow you to sell at a lower price than the price bracket. T-shirts, for example, could be sold for no less than 2 robux and pants not below 5 robux.

Here are the steps to start selling customized virtual items:

Register and sign up on Roblox. After the registration and signup process, on the Home Page, you see a ‘Menu Icon’ on the left side of the page.

1. Click on the Menu Icon and from the dropdown list click on the ‘Avatar’ icon.
2. Next click on ‘All Options’ from the recent drop-down menu; this will give you the complete list of your inventory. Let’s say you are selling a hat. Click on ‘hat’ from the list.
3. On the next page, select the ‘Ellipsis’ icon on the top right and then click on the ‘configure option’.
4. Next, select the ‘Sales Option’ from the left side of the page. Here you can change the name and add a description of the items to be sold.
5. After you click the ‘Sales Icon’, enter the price desired for the item and then click ‘Save’… Voilà, your item is for sale now.

How do I Sell Special Items on Roblox?

Special unique items, such as Gears and Clothes, possessed by you or purchased from the Roblox store, which are classified as ‘Limited’ and ‘Limited U,” could be sold in the following ways:

1. Go to your Roblox account and click on ‘Inventory’, look for items marked ‘Limited’ or ‘Limited U’, select one of the item you wish to sell.
2.  Click on the ‘Ellipsis’ icon located above the ‘Buy Now’ button and the ‘Items price’, this will give you a dropdown menu.
3. Click on ‘Sell’ from the drop down list and enter the desired price. Remember that the price can be changed once, so make up your mind before you type in the price. And that’s that I am not going to say ‘voila’ again.

Points to be Noted

Here are a few things you need to know before you start selling:

1. Roblox takes 30% of your sales price, so price your products accordingly.
2. You need atleast 10 Robux in your account to get started.
3. You get to redeem the robux within 30 days of the sale.
