Are you a beginner looking for work-from-home jobs? Well, I was a beginner once and spent days searching for jobs on the internet. I came across many jobs before I became a blogger.

As a beginner, I was searching for jobs that did not require any experience or skills, as I had none at the time. Today I will be sharing one such job that met my expectations.

Transcription job.

Transcription jobs do not require any experience or high degrees. However, there are some companies that require you to have some experience, and there are also some that train you before paying you for the job. The best part is that you can do this job remotely from your home or anywhere else.

Transcription jobs have flexible working hours, allowing you to work at your will; however, some companies require you to work for a fixed minimum number of hours.

What is a transcription job?

Transcribing means converting audio or video files into text form. You have to listen to what is being said and write down what you hear.

You will need a laptop or desktop computer with a good internet connection. The skills required are: you should know, typing, good knowledge of grammar, punctuation, and spelling. If your typing speed is good, you can make more money.

Three types of transcriptionist jobs.

Doctor’s transcriptionist: If you are a medical student or have some knowledge of medicine, then you can make money as a doctor’s transcriptionist. Typing doctor’s audio notes into text documents

Law transcriptionist: If you are studying law or have some knowledge of the legalities, then you can earn money transcribing audio of court proceedings, attorney arguments, and other legal activities.

Common transcriptionist: Transcribing interviews, Facebook, YouTube videos[subtitling], podcasts meetings, or phone calls.

Transcription work has boosted in the last few years due to the increase in videos on the internet, such as YouTube. Many platforms hire transcriptionists to transcribe YouTube videos. Every day, one billion hours of video are watched on YouTube. Vloggers want their videos transcribed to make them easier to watch, also known as subtitles.
