The practice of making money online has spread. regardless of your age, country, or geographic location. While many e-commerce platforms, such as eBay, Shopify, Walmart, and Etsy, make it simple to sell products online, in my experience, Amazon is the best way to make money online.
However, many people believe that the only way to make a profit on Amazon is to go the traditional route: buy inventory, list products on Amazon, and expect to sell, sell, sell. This is one way to make money on Amazon, but there are plenty of others, and some of them are underutilized.
Amazon is an excellent opportunity for people interested in entering the world of e-commerce. In 2020, Amazon generated $3.86 billion in revenue, more than half of which came from third-party sales.
There are many great ways to make money on Amazon. So to help you find the method that works best for you, this article outlines the best ways to make money on Amazon in 2023.
1: Sell your private label products on Amazon FBA.
The best way to make money on Amazon in 2023 is still to sell private label using Amazon’s Fulfillment by Amazon (or FBA) network. About 71% of all Amazon sellers run their businesses using the private label method.
Private labeling is the process of creating an already existing item, applying your own brand and logo to it, and selling it to consumers. sometimes referred to as “white labeling” or “branding.”
Thanks to FBA, Amazon is able to deliver your products (usually in two days or less—that’s Amazon Prime). This way, e-commerce business owners like you and me can list products on Amazon and earn money from the sales.
Private labeling makes you stand out from the competition. By using the Amazon Brand Registry, you have complete control over your products and listings. Trademarked products also protect you from counterfeiting or other tricks by unscrupulous sellers.

The publication of the book is completely free. It will take a while, and it will be available to millions of readers around the world.
Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) lets you publish your books on Amazon, and it’s my second favorite way to make money on Amazon.

The only catch with this option is that you usually have to write pretty well to be successful. While it is possible to publish one or two very popular books, volume publishing is the real name of the game.
3: Deliver goods with Amazon Flex.
You’re probably already aware of Amazon’s own delivery service. But did you know that you can become a delivery driver for Amazon? Amazon Flex is a service offered by the company where freelancers can work with their own vehicle by delivering packages for 28 dollars per two-hour block.
The good thing about it is that it gives you the freedom to set your own schedule. Do the work you want to do and earn as much money as you want, wherever you are.
4: Share affiliate links on your blog.
Ever wanted to start a lifestyle blog, post how-to videos or recipes, or publish your thoughts and ideas in some other way? By doing this, you can earn money from Amazon!
Imagine that you find a great product on Amazon, send the link to your friends, and if they buy it, you get a commission. On your blog (or on your social media pages, or even in your email), this link is sent to many additional people, allowing you to earn a little more money in commissions.

You get a cut of the sale if you share the link and someone buys something.
5: Go camping.
You can even go camping with Amazon. Only readers who reside in the United States of America may access it.
Amazon’s Camperforce program pays to camp from early fall through December 23 each year. The program runs for 3–4 months during the winter, and your responsibilities will be in the areas of collection, packing, storage, and receiving.
6: Make money on Amazon by working from home for Amazon.
Amazon, one of the biggest employers in the world, is swiftly rising to the top. Following the purchase of Whole Foods in 2017, Amazon now has approximately 650,000 employees.
In fact, many Amazon employees work from home. Amazon provides a special webpage for folks who want to work from home (or wherever they desire). Generally, the holidays are when there are more of these types of opportunities.
Most of these jobs are in customer service positions.
7: Join the Mechanical Turk program.
Amazon Mechanical Turk (MTurk) is a crowdsourcing marketplace. Amazon has a great little program with a weird name called Mechanical Turk (mTurk). Mechanical Turk acts as a center for outsourced jobs, including data validation, research, and survey participation.
Although the name suggests artificial intelligence, Mechanical Turk is actually a collective effort of hundreds (and thousands) of remote workers just like you.
8: Earn money by selling your stuff on Amazon.
You may sell your products and reach consumers from practically every part of the globe through the world’s largest marketplace. Internationalizing a product is now more affordable than ever.
Amazon Handmade might be for you if you’re creative! By invitation only, Amazon Handmade allows artisans to create and sell their products using Amazon’s platform.
Obviously, this method takes a little more work to stay on top of your orders since you’ll be producing them yourself. However, the visibility that Amazon provides for your brand is enormous.
Amazon Handmade can really help a wider audience discover your unique products.
9: Offer your services through Amazon Services.
Amazon is not just an e-commerce platform. They are also becoming more involved in the gig economy.
In general, Amazon Services enables business owners to market their services online.
So whether you’re a piano tutor, plumber, lawn care expert, or dog walker, Amazon Services can help you connect with clients who need your assistance.
10: Drop Shipping on Amazon
Amazon allows you to dropship in the marketplace as long as you follow a few business rules:
- Always be the official seller of the products.
- Identify yourself as a seller on delivery notes, invoices, and other product information.
- Remove all third-party seller identifying information prior to shipping an order, including invoices, outer packaging, packing slips, etc.
- Remain responsible for accepting and processing returns.
- Adhere to all terms of your sales agreement and Amazon policies.
Amazon drop-shipping fees vary by product type but typically range between 10% and 15%. If you operate with a relatively low drop-shipping margin, this will reduce your profits significantly.
A sales plan must be chosen as well. The personal plan pays $0.99 for each product sold, while the commercial plan costs $39.99 per month, regardless of how many products you sell.
